When I was still living in Washington, DC I worked with a lot of guys from Maryland who grew up going to the Preakness. They were always telling me how crazy raceday was and that people literally were permitted to bring in garbage cans filled with beer. Garbage cans filled with beer is only going to end one way and that’s a drunk mess. Here is a video I came across showing the hallowed and now-banned Preakness tradition of running the port-a-potties while people throw full (yes, full) beers at you. After watching the video you’ll see why this year they finally decided to ban outised alcohol.
