First, if you haven’t heard of Kasper Hauser, as in the comedy troup, not the orphaned boy, then you best check them out. They will be at Upright Citizens Brigade in New York Friday, November 9–if you come–you will not be disappointed.
Not only did Kasper Hauser create one of the funniest parody book/magazines I’ve ever read (Sky Maul, a knock-off of the infamous in-flight retail bonanza Sky Mall), but, the UCB theater, too, is a great place to go see some sketch comedy. Beers are 2 or 3 bucks, I can’t remember for sure, and its got the cozy ambiance of a suburban basement. See you there.
